U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden has canceled a scheduled visit to the Dominican Republic at the end of his South American tour in order to attend a meeting in Washington with the prime minister of Ukraine, his office said Monday. Biden is in Santiago, Chile, where he met Monday with departing President Sebastian Pinera and Michelle Bachelet, who takes office on Tuesday. He also is scheduled to meet the presidents of Colombia, Peru and Mexico while in the Chilean capital. Ukrainian Interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will meet Wednesday with President Barack Obama at the White House.
