The Ministerial Council also welcomed the formation of the new Lebanese government headed by Tammam Salam, hoping that it will be able to cope with national constitutional requirements and activate the policy of self-distancing from the Syrian crisis in order to preserve Lebanon's security, unity and independence. The Council condemned the criminal bombings that occurred recently in Lebanon, which claimed the lives of many innocent people. The Ministerial Council condemned the repeated bombings in a number of Iraqi cities, which claimed the lives of many innocent people, describing these bombings as a criminal act that is incompatible with the principles of Islam, and stressing the need to support the efforts of reconciliation and the participation of all Iraqi factions in making the political process in Iraq a success in order to achieve security and stability.
