Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. On the Syrian crisis and the Saudi and Russian positions toward it, Alwatan, Okaz, Alsharq and Almadinah newspapers highlighted the kingdom's universally known balanced and peaceful policy, stressing that standing by the Syrian people against injustice and tyranny is part of that policy. The newspapers stressed that Russia must understand that its policy in dealing with the Syrian crisis has failed with distinction. The newspapers criticized the Syrian regime, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah for running a smear campaign against the role of the kingdom in the Syrian crisis.
