The two sides welcomed the ongoing activities, in the context of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud initiative for Dialogue among Different Faith, Civilizations and Cultures, in addition to welcoming, too, the activates of Vienna-based King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue among Different Faith, Civilizations and Cultures in Vienna. They reiterated assertion of the importance of continuous political consultations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan, through their two foreign ministries. They decided, also, to keep encouraging interrelations among the youths of the two countries. The Two sides agreed to encourage cooperation in the domain of science, transfer of technology in order to diversify industries and upgrading the infrastructure. They underscored anew the importance of experience exchange, programs related to human resources development, extensive cooperation among universities and research centers and consolidation of cooperation in the field of knowledge-based economics. They emphasized renewed commitment to just, permanent and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, according to the Arab Peace Initiative and UN related resolutions, stressing the need to concert international efforts to move the peace drive forward, towards the Two States solution, aiming at establishment of a sovereign, independent, unified and viable Palestinian state. The two sides expressed deep concern towards development of events in Syria and the ongoing bloodshed of innocent, confirming that the Syrian regime should be held accountable for the situation. In this respect, the two sides expressed concern and disappointment at the failure of Geneva2 conference, in achieving envisaged outcomes, which the Syrian regime should be blamed for. They reaffirmed commitment to keep the search for an urgent and peaceful political settlement through full implementation of Geneva Statement announced on June, 30, 2012, which included forming of a transitional government with full executive powers. The two parties pointed out, too, the significance of keeping of providing humanitarian assistance and relief works for Syrian refugees and to encourage governments and organizations to provide more backup to Syrians, within and outside Syria.
