The Heritage Village in Jazan has managed to gather the craftsmen of valuable crafts and their sons in the first step of its kind in the 29th Janadriah National Festival for Heritage and Culture. This step aims to keep the ancient crafts from extinction and to commemorate the names of these professional families specialized in such crafts. It is worth mentioning that the decades-long old crafts and professions in Jazan were established in the past to meet the needs of the region's population of necessary products that are used in the daily life of the population, or in their various economic activities and some of products of these crafts were associated with customs and traditions of the population. Supervisor of the Jazan's heritage village in Janadriah, Ibrahim Mohammed al-Hazmi said that the preservation of these crafts is made by teaching them to the present generations and equipping them with the arts of mastering them directly from the craftsmen themselves who inherited them from their predecessors. He described the industry of pottery in Jazan region as one of the oldest inherent traditional industries in the region until the present time.
