Abdurrahman bin Ghurman Al-Shehri, Saudi ambassador to Iran, presented here today a copy of his credentials to Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Javad Zarif. According to Iranian Official News Agency (IRNA), the Iranian Minister said that the Iranian new government is keenness to enhance relations with neighboring countries and the Islamic states, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing positions of the two countries at regional and international arenas. He added that relations between the Kingdom and Iran based on principles of good neighborliness, highlighting that there are many opportunities for promoting and developing relations between the two countries. Zarif pointed out the existing challenges at regional and international levels in addition to joint chances of cooperation within the framework of the two countries' interests, stressing that good relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran serve the two countries, region, Islamic world and the whole world. For his part, the new Saudi ambassador lauded the Iranian constructive dealing with the new phase, hailing the wise will of the two leaderships in developing and enhancing relations between the two sides.
