The costs of the new contracts for the projects of water and sanitation in the Eastern region have amounted to more than 42 million Saudi riyals, including five contracts signed recently by the Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein with national specialized companies. Acting Director General of water in the region Engineer Siraj Bakhurji said that the contracts included an agreement contract on consultative engineering services to oversee the implementation of water and sanitation projects in Dammam; an agreement contract on consultative engineering services to oversee the implementation of water projects in Al-Ahsa governorate; a project contract of water supply and extensions required for households in Qatif, Sehat and Safavi provinces; a project contract of water supply and water extensions in Al-Khobar province; and a project contract of water main lines in Naieeriyah city.
