The House of Deputies of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed sorrow and astonishment at the European Parliament decision, in regard of human rights in Bahrain and considered it as a totally rejected interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain and an attempt to humiliate the independence and the prestige of its judiciary. In a statement following a meeting today, the Council said the Kingdom of Bahrain honors its entire international obligations and commitments, noting that Bahraini authorities have enacted a number of legislations in defense of human rights in the country in addition to implementing most of the recommendations of the Bahraini Independent Committee for fact-finding and establishing the national Institution for Human Rights according to Paris principles.
