Scores of people have been killed after a military transport aircraft crashed in north-eastern Algeria on Tuesday, local media reported according to dpa. Reports about the number of casualties are inconsistent, however putting them at more than 100. Bad weather was believed to have caused the crash, which took place in the Djebel Ta Fertas mountains, about 50 kilometers south-east of the city of Constantine. It was not immediately clear whether there were further survivors.
