Explosives Hurled at Police Station in Malaysia

An explosion rocked a police compound in Malaysia Saturday, shattering windows but no injuries were reported, dpa quited police as saying.
The explosion occurred before dawn at the Bukit Tengah police station in the state of Penang, 280 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur, an official said.
"The police officer on duty at the time of the explosion did not see any suspect and heard only a motorcycle speeding away," he said requesting anonymity.
Initial investigation showed the explosive device was made from firecrackers wrapped together.
