Shura, in particular, commending the level of bilateral relations, which binds the two countries in various fields, stressing the importance of developing them to serve the common interests in addition to strengthening the joint parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. He also praised the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on allocating (30) seats for Saudi women as members of Majlis Al-Shura, pointing out that it is an important step towards the expansion of national participation in national decision-making. During the meeting, the overall issues of common interest between the two countries as well as the parliamentary relations between Majlis Al-Shura and the British Parliament were reviewed. The meeting was attended by the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of John Jenkins and members of the accompanying delegation.
