The General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholar(CSS) has appreciated the Royal Order of punishing whoever participates in hostilities outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or belongs to extremist religious or ideological groups. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today, the CSS Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majed said: "The CSS General Secretariat appreciates this Royal Decree to confirm that it comes in the context of legitimate politics assigned by the country's leadership and the policy based on the religious texts and rules that should be followed as the leader's approach is entrusted with his country's high interests such as the decision of war and peace," Accordingly, the scholars decided that the country's leader only is entrusted to the issue of Jihad (Holy War) and citizens are required to obey him in this regard.
