Firefighters have put out a forest fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon in southwest China's Yunnan Province and no casualties were reported, local authorities said Sunday. It took more than 200 people to help extinguish the blaze that threatened the village of Liuzhao in Yanshan County, home to some 5,900 people, Xinhua quoted the county government as saying. The government is investigating the cause of the blaze and the damage, while the firefighters are clearing the site to avoid any possible spread of fire. It also warned locals to be more careful during Spring Festival, when people often practice customs like burning incense and setting off firecrackers.
