A passenger aboard a light plane took the controls when the pilot blacked out over south-eastern Australia, reports said Sunday, according to dpa. The passenger, one of two aboard the Cessna 150, had some flying experience and managed to contact air traffic controllers as the three-seater approached Forbes Aerodrome, 375 kilometres west of Sydney. He was told how to circle and how to dump fuel in case an emergency landing was needed, Sydney's Sunday Telegraph reported. As the novice prepared to bring the single-engine Cessna home, the pilot regained consciousness and landed the plane without incident. He was listed in stable condition in Forbes hospital.
