Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, Rabi'I 19, 1435, Jan 20, 2014, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah region, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Moheiddin Khoja, the Minister of Culture and Information, is set to open in this holy city tomorrow the 8th conference for ministers of Culture of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). In remarks to highlight the occasion, Dr. Khoja thanked the monarch for his kind patronage of the event and putting the country's capabilities at the disposal of the conference to make it a success. He said the event comes at the conclusion of the activities of choosing Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah as capital of Islamic culture for the year 2013. He added that delegates of different governments, prominent organizations and universities will grace the conference which will be hosted by the University of Taiba in Muslim's second holiest city. Among other things, the conference will discuss the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiative for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures: achievements and future potentials. He confirmed that the Ministry of Culture and Information has mobilized all its giant capabilities to make the event a success.
