The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sri Lanka have inked here today a bilateral agreement for the recruitment of domestic helpers. The agreement was co-signed by Minister of Labor Adel bin Mohammad Faqih and Sri Lanka's Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation relations between the Kingdom and Sri Lanka in the field of recruitment of domestic workers in the interest of the two countries. The labor pact stressed formation of unified labor contract for domestic workers approved by the relevant authorities in the two countries. The agreement allows hiring of domestic helpers through licensed agencies which comply with Saudi regulations and of the country deploying the domestic workers.
