Officials in Khartoum estimated that more than 90,000 refugees are currently residing in Sudan, particularly the Eastern provinces and borders with neighboring countries that witness disputes. Deputy Refugees Commissioner Abdullah Suleiman Mohammed said in a statement today that the government is providing them with health, water, education, foodstuffs and environment-related services. He said those receiving Sudan government subsidiaries are estimated at 75.5 thousand refugees stationing in nine camps. the UN High Commission for Refugees also finances the process, he added. He said most of the refugees in Sudan are from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia but 75% are from Ethiopia.
