North Korea is to pursue better relations with the South in the coming year, leader Kim Jong Un said in his New Year's address Wednesday reported South Korea's Yonhap News Agency. In a message delivered on North Korean television and radio, Kim said he would "make aggressive efforts to improve relations" between Pyongyang and Seoul. He called on South Korea to make similar moves. South Korea's Unification Ministry responded sceptically to Kim's conciliatory tone, saying in a statement that "it remains to be seen whether North Korea revises its position."
