The attack on a bus Monday in the southern Russian city of Volgograd was a suicide bombing, investigators said, dpa quoted the Interfax news agency as saying. At least 14 people were killed and 28 wounded in the bombing, which investigators said bore a similar signature to attacks on Sunday and in late October in the city. Vladimir Markin, spokesman for the Investigative Committee, told the Interfax news agency that they had found body parts of the bomber which had been sent for forensic tests to establish the identity. Markin said the bomb was identical to the one used in Sunday's attack at the Volgograd railway station. It was packed with four kilograms of TNT and metal pieces.
