Five people in Canada are dead, likely from carbon monoxide poisoning, police said Tuesday, as tens of thousands remain without power in below-freezing weather after a weekend ice storm. Mayor Rob Ford said the city received about six times as many calls about carbon monoxide Monday — about 110 over 24 hours — as it gets in a usual day.
