The Sudan-Russia joint committee for economic and commercial cooperation concluded a three-day meeting in Khartoum today with three protocols signed in the fields of health, mining and electricity in addition to seven memorandums of understanding in the commercial, economic and development fields. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sadeq Al-Karoori, Minister of Mining of The Sudan, said, to mark the closing day of deliberations, that the two sides agreed to create a strategic partnership between Sudan and Russia and work for opening all fields of investment before the Russian side. For his part, Sergei Dinscoy, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia, said a number of Russian companies expressed desire to invest in Sudan, noting that agreement has been reached on a number of things, including the importance of exchange of expertise.
