Palestinian President Meets with Egypt's ambassador

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here today with Egypt's ambassador to Palestine Yasser Othman. The meeting was attended by Al-Tayyeb Abdulrahim, Secretary General of the Palestinian Presidency.
The Palestinian News Agency, which carried the news, said Abbas briefed the ambassador on the latest political developments and the efforts being exerted by the Palestinian leadership to alleviate the tough humanitarian situation the Palestinian people are facing.
During the meeting, the forthcoming visit of President Abbas to Cairo to attend the Arab Foreign Ministers Council meetings was discussed. Abbas is scheduled to brief the ministers on the latest developments of Palestinian Israeli negotiations and the efforts being exerted by John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State, to boost the peace process in the Middle East.
