Construction work at the Sao Paulo stadium that is set to host the opening match of the 2014 World Cup in June is set to be re-launched Monday, despite an ongoing investigation into the accident that killed two workers there, dpa reported. The Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht, which is in charge of the project, said Friday that the Brazilian Labour Ministry has banned it from using nine other cranes at the site until there is confirmation that a crane collapse like Wednesday's cannot happen again. Civil Defence has also banned until further notice works in the area of the stadium that was affected by this week's accident, approximately equivalent to 10 per cent of the stadium facilities. Work next week will focus among other things on installing electrical and hydraulic equipment as well as seats, Odebrecht said. -- SPA 20:02 LOCAL TIME 17:02 GMT تغريد
