South Korea has called on Beijing to amend its air defence zone in the East China Sea, news reports said Thursday. South Korea said it did not recognize China's declared air defence interception zone, which overlaps with its own surveillance area, Yonhap News Agency reported. Seoul could not approve the zone as it was declared without consultation, Deputy Defence Minister Baek Seung Joo told China's Deputy Chief of Staff Wang Guanzhong, who was in Seoul for talks as part of a wider strategic dialogue on defence issues.
