U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, visiting Panama for talks with President Ricardo Martinelli, said the Central American country contributed to international security by seizing a ship carrying weapons from Cuba to North Korea. Panamanian authorities seized the ship in July, and inspectors found two Cuban fighter jets and various missile parts hidden in a cargo of sugar. A preliminary report by U.N. experts determined that the seized ship violated sanctions that prohibit the supplying of weapons to North Korea.
