U.S. Stocks are lower in early trading on Wall Street as traders pick over some disappointing corporate earnings. According to AP, consumer electronics retailer Best Buy slumped 8 percent after predicting a tough holiday season, and Campbell Soup dropped 7 percent after reporting a plunge in net income on declining soup sales and higher costs. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 16 points, or 0.1 percent, to 15,961 in the first few minutes of trading Tuesday. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell five points, or 0.3 percent, to 1,786. The Nasdaq composite fell 13 points, or 0.3 percent, to 3,936. Home Depot rose 2 percent after reporting a big earnings gain and raising its forecast for full-year earnings. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note was flat at 2.67 percent.
