The German economy lost some of its steam in the third quarter, rising a seasonally adjusted 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter, officials said Thursday. Gross domestic product for the April-to-June period jumped 0.7 quarter-on-quarter, according to the Federal Statistics Office, after stagnating in the first quarter of the year.
