The Red Cross fears that more than 1,000 people have been killed in Typhoon Haiyan's onslaught in the Philippines, chairman Richard Gordon told dpa on Saturday. Most of the deaths were in the eastern provinces of Leyte and Samar, the organization's secretary general, Gwendolyn Pang, confirmed. Gordon added: "There are a lot of dead bodies. We haven't counted them yet. We are too busy to count. We are managing the dead bodies; we don't want them scattered there." -- SPA 17:42 LOCAL TIME 14:42 GMT تغريد
