AlHijjah 8, 1434, Oct 13, 2013, SPA -- Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of Hajj Supreme Committee, has addressed a cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in which he announced the completion of the entry of 1,379,531 pilgrims coming from abroad for this year's Hajj season, 1434AH. In his cable, the Prince said, "I have the honor on this blessed day to express my best greetings and congratulations on the completed entry of pilgrims through air, land and sea ports. They have reached the Holy Sites in security and tranquility, thanks to the continuing care provided by the King and the Crown Prince to all facilities of pilgrims' services to enable pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals easily, safely, and comfortably". The Prince said that the number of pilgrims coming from abroad for this year's Hajj season 1434AH is 1,379,531 pilgrims including 752,424 male pilgrims, 55%, and 627,107 female pilgrims, 45%. The number of pilgrims coming for this year decreased 377,439 pilgrims at a rate of 21% in comparison with the last year. The entry of pilgrims this year is as follows: By air: 1,292,098 pilgrims . By land: 72,535 pilgrims . By Sea: 14,898 pilgrims . The pilgrims this year are from 188 countries. The Prince prayed to Allah Almighty to preserve the King and the Crown Prince, and for continuing security for the Kingdom.
