AlHijjah 5, 1434, Oct 10, 2013, SPA -- Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, announced that as many as 15,000 Hajj-regulation-violators who intended to perform Hajj though not carrying the required permissions were sent the way they came from and 63 unlicensed Hajj-catering companies were apprehended. In a statement, the Governor of Makkah Region said the latest caravan of illegal pilgrims, organized by an unlicensed company, was transporting 150 would-be pilgrims when rounded by the authorities before heading from Dammam to the sacred places. He added that 55 drivers were put in custody for managing to transport illegal pilgrims while the number of vehicles turned back amounted to 12300 with 3429 illegals on board.
