AlQa'dah 26, 1434, Oct 2, 2013, SPA -- Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, today opened King Abdullah Public Park, once the Horse Race field in Malaz, a downtown neighborhood of the city of Riyadh. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, was present at the opening ceremony which was also attended by Mayor of Riyadh Region Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Miqbel, Acting Undersecretary of Riyadh Region Abdullah bin Majdoo Al-Garny, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs Azzam bin Abdulkareem Al-Gain, Chairman of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zamel, a number of diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom and officials of Riyadh Governorate. The Governor of Riyadh Region and his deputy then toured the site and were briefed on its contents. Following the opening ceremony, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz expressed happiness of opening this project which is a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the residents of Riyadh. He said the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs have implemented this project upon instructions two years ago and half of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, then Governor of Riyadh Region, and follow-up of late Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, then his deputy. Two days in the week will be allocated for male youths and five days for families, the Governor of Riyadh instructed.
