AlQa'dah 24, 1434, Sep 30, 2013, SPA -- Floods in Thailand have killed 22 this month, triggered by the season's heavy rains, but are still far from causing the damage wrought by the 2011 catastrophe, authorities said Monday, according to DPA. Since September 17, inundations caused by monsoon storms have been reported in 32 of the 77 provinces, affecting 2.7 million people, with the most serious floods hitting the impoverished north-eastern region, the Disaster Prevention and Relief Department said. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Sunday visited Prachin Buri,100 kilometres east of Bangkok, and the site of a large industrial zone that was severely flooded in 2011.
