AlQa'dah 19, 1434, Sep 25, 2013, SPA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and Central and South America and Caribbean Group held talks at the United Nations Headquarters in New York yesterday. The GCC side was headed by Bahrain's Foreign Minister, the current chairman of the Ministerial Council Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in the presence of Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. The Group side was headed by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, whose country currently chairs the Group comprising of 33 countries. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the GCC States and the Group in various fields, ways of their enhancement, and the regional and international issues of common interest.
