Al-Bilad, Al-Jazirah and Okaz newspapers highlighted the eighty-third anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom which falls on Monday. The newspapers highlighted the achievements of the founder late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and his great efforts for the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Riyadh newspaper commented on relations between Arabs and Turks emphasizing that differences can be overcome through understanding and constructive dialogue. Al-Madinah, Al-Yaum and Al-Sharq newspapers commented on the Iranian president's readiness to facilitate talks between the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his opponents while Al-Watan newspaper called for a speedy solution to the Syrian chemical weapons problem.
