AlQa'dah 14, 1434, Sep 20, 2013, SPA -- The leader of Britain's eurosceptic UK Independence Party on Friday predicted his party would come first in European elections in May, with such a result likely to cause an "earthquake" in Westminster politics, dpa reported. At the party's annual conference in London, Nigel Farage predicted that the election campaign would be dominated by the issue of immigration from Eastern Europe. EU working restrictions on Romanians and Bulgarians are due to be lifted in January. Farage challenged Prime Minister David Cameron and his coalition government to tell Brussels that Britain would not accept any immigrants from those countries, who he said would be attracted by generous benefits and would unleash a crime wave. If the government ignored it, "what I suggest we do is we turn the European elections on May 22 into the referendum that we've never had so that we can express our opinion on the European Union and on open borders." -- SPA 20:28 LOCAL TIME 17:28 GMT تغريد
