A regional command of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)said it would be targeting the Farouq and Nasr brigades, which it accused of attacking its headquarters 40 kilometres north-east of Aleppo.
ISIS has been engaged in pitched battles in recent days in eastern Syria against fighters of the Kurdish People's Protection Units(YPG).
