German industrial orders fell sharply in July after demand from the eurozone plunged, data released Thursday showed, according to DPA. Monthly factory order books slumped by 2.7 per cent after surging by 5 per cent in June, the Economics Ministry said. The drop in July was almost three times bigger than the decline forecast by economists. But in releasing the data, the ministry revised upward the June increase from a previously estimated gain of of 3.8 per cent.
