The Czech Republic's football federation said the country wants to be one of the 13 to co-host the 2020 European Championship, AP reported. Federation secretary general Rudolf Repka said Tuesday it will declare its interest to UEFA by the Sept. 12 deadline and the detailed final bid will be submitted by April 25. For a successful bid, the country still needs to build a new stadium that seats at least 30,000. Repka said the proposed venue will likely be in Prague but gave no details. The tournament will be contested in 13 stadiums in 13 countries, and UEFA's executive committee will choose the host cities in September 2014. On Friday, Slavia Prague's stadium hosted the European Super Cup match between Bayern Munich and Chelsea but that venue has only some 21,000 seats.
