Substitute Alvaro Negredo and Yaya Toure scored the goals as Manchester City beat Hull City 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, dpa reported. Spanish forward Negredo headed the opening goal on 65 minutes and Toure curled in a brilliant free kick late on to help City bounce back from a defeat by Cardiff last week. City moved alongside Liverpool and Tottenham in joint-second, one point behind leaders Chelsea. "It was hard work," City manager Manuel Pellegrini said. "Every match is going to be hard work and Hull defended very well. "We know you have to give 100 percent to win every match but I think today that we were more concentrated in defence than the last game against Cardiff." Newcastle, Stoke City and Norwich City all clinched wins while Everton made it three draws out of three as they were held 0-0 at Cardiff. Promoted Hull matched the home side for more than an hour and had chances to take a shock lead. -- SPA 19:12 LOCAL TIME 16:12 GMT تغريد
