Holders Bayern Munich were on Thursday draw to meet Manchester City again, in the group stage of the European Champions League which will feature four English-German ties, according to dpa. There is also a familiar Barcelona v AC Milan duel and Spain and Italy also meet in the form of Real Madrid and Juventus. Bayern, who beat Borussia Dortmund in the all-German Wembley final in May for their fifth title in the European elite event, face CSKA Moscow and Victoria Plzen apart from City in group D. Bayern beat City at home in the group stage two years ago and lost in Manchester after already being assured of advancing. City finally want to make the knockout stages after missing out in the past two campaigns. Their crosstown rivals Manchester United meet Bayer Leverkusen in group A along with Shaktar Donetsk and Real Sociedad; Jose Mourinho's Chelsea cross swords with Schalke in group E which also features Basel and Steaua Bucharest; and Arsenal face Dortmund in tough group F along with Napoli and Olympique Marseille. Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Sky TV that "All German teams can advance" and is convinced that City will be stronger and more determined than ever after losing out the last two times. -- SPA 21:00 LOCAL TIME 18:00 GMT تغريد
