Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah region; the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja inaugurated here yesterday evening the 4th Saudi Writers Conference which coincides this year with the selection of Madinah as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2013. Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Khoja said that with the royal patronage, the conference enjoys substantial support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and assumes a high status, conveying the King's greetings to the conference and his best wishes for its success in the interest of the Kingdom and its cultural, literary and intellectual heritage. He thanked the King for his patronage of the Conference and the Crown Prince for his permanent support for literature and culture in the Kingdom and the Governor of Madinah region for his efforts in the success of the Conference. The ceremony as attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdullah Al-Jasser; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs and General Supervisor of the Conference Dr. Nasser bin Saleh Al-Hujailan; the Secretary of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives Dr. Fahd Al-Sammari; a number of writers; intellectuals and representatives of the media.
