Bilad newspaper spoke of reports about the Syrian regime's use of toxic chemicals in the killing of hundreds of unarmed Syrian people, including large numbers of children and said that the world today is required to take resolute international positions to prevent the use of nuclear and chemical weapons. Al-Watan newspaper also commented on the Syrian regime's use of poison gas near Damascus, calling on the international community to move and impose a solution to the conflict in Syria. On the same issue, Al-Yaum newspaper criticized the international community for awarding Assad's regime a golden opportunity to escape condemnation for using chemical weapons against his own people because of the international community's delay in sending inspectors to the site of the attack in Syria. On Egypt, Al-Riyadh newspaper praised the Egyptian army saying it comes out united in acute crises and does not belong to a faction, sect and party.
