Police in far-north Australia were looking for the body of a 24-year-old local man taken Saturday by a crocodile while swimming at a beauty spot 110 kilometres east of Darwin, dpa reported. The man was in the water at the Mary River Wilderness Retreat when a crocodile attacked, the Northern Territory Police said. Erin Bayard, a staff member at the holiday park, told national broadcaster ABC that visitors were warned against swimming. "We do actually tell all our guests not to swim and to stay at least 5 metres back from the edge of the bank," she said. Police Sergeant Peter Lindfield said a search was on for the crocodile and the remains of the man. "Officers from the Water Police Section and Territory Response Group are currently at the scene of the attack and are searching for the man and the crocodile," he said.
