Two bodyguards working for an Afghan lawmaker were killed on Wednesday in northern Afghanistan when a bomb struck one of the politician's vehicles, a police spokesman said. According to dpa, the bomb placed along a road in Baghlan province struck the vehicle of Ahmad Shah Ramazan, an Afghan parliamentarian. Police said Ramazan was not in the car at the time of the blast. Two of his bodyguards were killed and three others wounded," said provincial police spokesman Ahmad Javid Basharat. Meanwhile a female member of parliament has been kidnapped in eastern Afghanistan by an unknown group that is demanding the release of four prisoners.
