Authorities in an eastern Indonesian province sought to move villagers Sunday after a volcano erupted, killing six people. Mount Rokatenda on the tiny island of Palue in East Nusatenggara province sent an avalanche of hot lava down its flanks Saturday after it spewed ash 2,000 metres into the sky, officials said, according to DPA. "We are all trying to persuade villagers to move to Maumere," the capital of nearby Flores island, said Johannes Berchmans, an official at the disaster management agency on Flores. About 10,00 people live in the volcano's danger zone. About 3,000 have already been evacuated from their villages. -- SPA 12:14 LOCAL TIME 09:14 GMT تغريد
