A German competitor in the motorcycle sidecar world championships was killed in an accident Sunday at the Dutch circuit of Assen, speedweek.com reported, according to dpa. Sandor Pohl was thrown from the sidecar of Swiss competitor Stefan Kiser at the Haarbocht bend and struck by a following bike and sidecar during the sixth round of the championship.
