Forty people were missing after a boat sank in southern Malaysia, police and maritime authorities said Saturday. According to dpa, four survivors were rescued Friday off Tanjung Siang town in Johor state, about 290 kilometres south of Kuala Lumpur, police chief Nor Rasid. Nor said no survivors had been found. The vessel was battered by strong waves a few hours after it sailed late Thursday. Nor said the victims were suspected undocumented workers from Indonesia returning for the end of Ramadan.
