Senate Easily Approves Obama's U.N. Nominee

The Senate on Thursday approved the nomination of Samantha Power as the next ambassador to the United Nations.
Only 10 senators voted against Ms. Power. Eighty-seven supported her, including 33 Republicans.
The Senate approved one other nomination on Thursday, confirming Raymond T. Chen as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; the vote was 97 to 0.
