Eight Tunisian troops have been killed and four injured in fighting with radicals near the border with Algeria, news agencies cited state television as announcing Monday evening. The troops were caught in an ambush in the western Mount Chaambi area, where soldiers have been hunting a radical cell for months, the report said. President Moncef Marzouki was to address the nation later Monday. Regular programming on state television was suspended and replaced with prayers and patriotic hymns.
