China welcomes resolution of solar dispute with EU

The Chinese government Saturday welcomed a deal to
end its dispute with the European Union over exports of solar panels,
the official Xinhua news agency said, according to dpa.
The compromise "showcased pragmatic and flexible attitudes from
both sides," Ministry of Commerce spokesman Shen Dayang was quoted as
saying.
The agreement promotes an open, cooperative, stable and
sustainable economic and trade relationship between China and the EU,
he said.
